SHAPE
Children's footwear must have a sufficiently spacious round toe, with plenty of space for toes. Children should not have shoes with a pointed toe because it causes different toe deformities (bunion, bunionette or hammer toe).
HEEL
A foot must be adequately fixed in the shoe. There must be no undesirable lateral movement at the heel part of the foot. That means any children's footwear with the full heel must have a properly stiff, high and long heel seat. The heal seat refers to the inner part of the back of the shoe. Be careful not to confuse it with the heel height which should be as low as possible in kids footwear.
UPPER DESIGN
Suitable upper design ensures a good foot fixation. It holds the foot firmly against the heel seat and prevents the foot from moving in the shoe. We recommend shoes with laces, buckle and Velcro fastening. For the smallest sizes, buy only ankle shoes.
